I am a current senior at the University of Mary Washington, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Geology. I am passionate about science communication and museum education, getting to practice my skills by tutoring introductory geology students and educating my family and friends. I also enjoy rock-climbing and have 10+ years of rock-climbing experience, which helps when it comes to certain types of field work. I have had geologic field experience in several classes, including sedimentation and stratigraphy and field methods. In addition to my geology focused coursework, I have taken GIS and spatial analysis courses, giving me experience with ArcGIS Pro software. While I have not chosen a specific field in geology and haven’t decided between hard and soft rock geology just yet, I have a special interest in volcanology, plate tectonics, and paleontology.
